My first passion is line. I love the way brush and ink bring the simplest of drawings to life with texture, dimension and detail. When approaching any new project, I like to start with random sketches, while interweaving concept and design. My brushwork is all drawn by hand, and then I render the colour digitally.
I graduated from the illustration program at The Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) and I've worked for the past 12 years in Editorial, Design, Book Publishing and Advertising, with some really fabulous clients, including: American Baby, Arizona Woman, CA Magazine, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Chronicle, Clairol, Coup de Pouce, Gardening Life, The Globe and Mail, Golf for Women, Health Magazine, Homemakers, LCBO, Nick Jr., NY Times, Parents Magazine, Readers' Digest, Scholastic Inc., Second Cup, Shape Magazine, Today's Parent and Wall Street Journal.
I was born and raised in Toronto's West End, a short bicycle ride to the Humber River. Now I make my home in the East End, a short bicycle ride to Ashbridges' Bay. I live with my husband, daughter and two adorably infuriating cats.
