my little collection of old books

I have some illustrated tales, dramatic novels, books of poems and a few 'practical' guide books from the 1950's. I've leafed through all of them, I've read some of them and I cannot part with any.

Some of my favourites are 'Paws and Claws', a beautifully illustrated book of tame and wild animals from the late 1800's, 'Through the looking glass' by Lewis Carroll,  two books of 'Grimms' Fairy Tales' and a copy of 'The World of Pooh'.

Collection conundrum

I collect a lot of things. Some very necessary, some extremely unnecessary. Buttons happen to be very beautiful and necessary, so I could in essence collect more, but that would require a very necessary shelf or two or twelve to keep them tidy.

Inspired

For fun, and when there's nothing inspiring in my immediate surroundings, I like to draw from photos. 

When it's feeling cold

It's nice to head to Allen Gardens. There's more plants to see since they've moved the large greenhouse from College and University (that belonged to U of T), and it's cozy and warm inside. I was there this past spring and took a few pictures, and ran outside with Maggie in the newly (to us) designed paths and gardens.
